The Industrial Fastener Market in Europe Maintains Steady Growth

China's fastener exports to major European economies maintained a growth momentum. Among them, export volumes to Germany, the UK and Italy rose by 8.8%, 6.9% and 14.5% year-on-year respectively; exports to the Netherlands also saw an upward trend, with a year-on-year increase of about 14.9%. This growth reflects the sustained and stable demand of the European market for Chinese fasteners across a wider range of application fields, such as automobile manufacturing, mechanical equipment, construction and infrastructure.

The total value of fastener imports by Western European countries reached 2.064 billion US dollars, surpassing that of the United States to become the largest export destination. The rapidly growing demand in Europe also calls for greater diversified collaboration within the global fastener supply chain. Against this backdrop, the Fastener Expo Frankfurt (FEF) came into being. The expo will be held every even-numbered year starting from March 2026. Rooted in the demand of Europe’s fastener industry, it will also serve as a bridge connecting fastener traders, manufacturers and equipment suppliers from around the world.

As a complementary platform to the well-established Fastener Fair Stuttgart, FEF is positioned to fill the gap in the European fastener exhibition landscape by focusing more on emerging application-driven innovations and supply chain synergy. Unlike traditional trade shows that merely showcase products, FEF will integrate high-level professional seminars and technical exchange sessions, focusing on hot topics such as high-strength fasteners for new energy vehicles, corrosion-resistant connectors for infrastructure, and smart fastening solutions for industrial automation — all of which align with Europe's growing demand for high-performance and sustainable fastener products.
